We have a clearly defined policy to use sustainable and renewable resources where available. Our philosophy is to design as much of our range as possible for longevity - we produce cribs that last, and a number of our products convert to sofas and adult beds. We design and manufacture solid cabinet built furniture to last a lifetime. So confident are we in our Boori Country products they all carry a 5 year manufacturer’s warranty as testimony to the quality and longevity of the range.

Our Factory

Our factory in Shanghai was opened in 2008 and is dedicated to manufacturing to the highest standards. We employ skilled craftsmen who pride themselves on the consistency of quality and attention to detail in everything they do from design to construction, from finsihing to packing.

Having our own factory assures us continuity and security of supply. We have a clearly defined policy to use sustainable and renewable resources whenever possible. And of course having our own factory means we can provide feedback immediately on our products leading to continuous improvement.

Araucaria timber

Boori manufactures its cribs, beds and furniture from Queensland plantation Araucaria timber. Araucaria is a high quality, dense, wood species common to Queensland, Australia. It’s grown in large-scale responsibly managed plantations. Araucaria is fine grained with no knots giving higher strength, easier machining properties and excellent staining and painting qualities.

Construction

Our cribs are made from solid timber. Our chests and wardrobes are built by craftsmen combining traditional methods and cutting edge technology. The tops and drawers are made of solid wood with dovetail joints, the drawers run on traditional metal runners. We’ve combined modern technology with traditional skill to create a laminated timber veneer, unlike solid timber, which is a living product, veneer doesn’t twist, warp or split. Only the finest wood is used in veneer production, it is environmentally sound and a traditional product.

Drawer chests are factory built and just need unpacking once in your customer’s home. Our wardrobe, bookcases, change units and cribs are packed flat for ease of delivery and come with comprehensive instructions for assembly.
